This is the last crossing of the North Fork of the Chalone Creek (or first depending on what way you are traveling). If you are headed to the high peaks area, the trail starts to climb at this point.
The North Wilderness Trail is narrow for the entirety of the trip. In the morning, this part of the trail is shaded by the trees and mountain, making it a pleasant walk.

The North Wilderness Trail is narrow for the entirety of the trip. In the morning, this part of the trail is shaded by the trees and mountain, making it a pleasant walk.
The North Wilderness Trail continues to follow the creek and you'll notice that the trees have moss hanging from them in this part of the trail. This creek is the North Fork of the Chalone Creek.
The Old Pinnacles Trail as it works under the trees. This path is fairly wide through this part of the park.

In this part of the trail, rocks like the ones found in the high peaks region begin to appear. The first part of the trail doesn't have these rock formations.
