Potato quality picture, but I happened to be lucky enough to catch one of the Border Patrol's Special Forces helicopters doing practice landings on the south side of the lakebed. After taking this, it did another landing on the west rim before buzzing me on the way out.

Kilborne Hole is stark, yet gorgeous.
The cliffs are more gradual, but still hundreds of feet high, on the north rim.
