The early section of Lost Turkey Trail alternates between singletrack and doubletrack. Here, the trail crosses Pot Ridge Road. Runners pass through gates on either side of the road.

The last bit of level land passes by the Blue Knob campground on your way to Herman Point via Herman's Stairs.
