Description
Located about 1/4 mile off of the Pinhoti Trail is McDill Point. Commonly a great place to eat lunch, this rock outcropping offers great views of the Cheaha Wilderness and Talladega National Forest. There are campsites nearby, and the remnants of a plane crash on the trail on your way to the Point.
Half-Day Run: From Cheaha Trailhead, run 3 miles along the Pinhoti Trail until you reach the sign for McDill Point. From There, it's a short 1/4 mile to McDill Point. Please note that at times the trail can be hard to find. Keep a lookout for either the Pinhoti Trail Markers on trees or blue blazes.
