Description

A breathtaking alpine lake in Utah's Big Cottonwood Canyon at the end of Lake Blanche Trail, well worth the hike. This lake is simply stunning AND it's surrounded by immense tower-like mountains...

Half-Day Run: Follow the Lake Blanche Trail until its terminus; approximately 3.5 miles.

A great hike. Actually 2.7 miles and 2700 of vertical gain. So it a 1,000 feet per mile. I use as my bench mark for all other hike. Aspens in the fall are fantastic. Sep 7, 2017

Some Mud - Went up on June 17th and the trail past the Maybird turnoff is practically a stream. Shouldn't be too long till it's dry.
