Description
A short run on a good trail brings you to the base of 254-foot high Golden Falls. A longer, and a little more strenuous, trail takes you to the top of the falls (and provides a good view of Silver Falls as well).
Short Walk: The Golden and Silver Falls State Natural Area is 24 miles east of Coos Bay, Oregon on paved and gravel roads (only the last 3 miles is gravel). There is a small parking lot and a vault toilet at the end of the road. There are picnic tables and the creek is fun to splash around in during the summer months.
