South End Rowing Club

The South End Rowing Club, founded May 5, 1873, is the oldest rowing club west of the Mississippi. Originally located at the foot of Third Street, the club was moved by barge to Aquatic Park in 1908, finally coming to its current home at
500 Jefferson Street in 1938.

We are a community that combines world class rowing, swimming, handball and running with a multi-generational membership that is inclusive, welcoming, and supportive. South Enders have achieved national and international recognition in all sports.
