The trail is in great shape.

The trail begins at a parking lot off of State Route 32. You go through two gates to get to the actual trail. This trail passes through private land. The trail itself is open to the public, but any area off trail is private property and ought to be respected to ensure access to future users.

The trail begins with some switchbacks, climbing to the top of ledge. The trail then follows the ledge for a ways and then climbs again. After several more switchbacks and some movement into and out of a few small gulches, you climb once more to reach the summit of Rocky Top.

The top has several large boulders and provides great views of Kamas Valley, the back of the Wasatch Range, the west side of the Uintas, and much more. The climb is gradual enough that the running is great. This trail is mixed use, so you'll likely see bikes, horses, hikers, and runners. Weekends there is more traffic.
