To access Mount Roraima you need either a local guide or to go on a tour. Local guides can be found for cheap in Paraitepuyn (the launching point for all trips).

Runner Notes

Challenging rock-strewn, uphill fight

Description

From base camp cruise along until you make it to the immense stone wall.

Turn left and your heading steeply uphill for next mile. This section, known as the Way of Tears, for its intense nature scurries up a ramp to the top. There's nothing more technical than some large boulders and waterfalls raining down from 1000 feet.

Once you top out, you curve around and drop your camping supplies off at the open cave complex known as the Hotel Indio. Check out the Maverick Stone, which is the highest point on the tepui.

Continue across tepui to the immense solutions pockets known as the Jacuzzi. Take a well deserved soak and then check out the viewpoint that looks to the west.
