Overview

A short loop encompassing the Ruckle Day Use Area, campground, historic farm and about oceanside singletrack. All major junctions are well signed and marked with maps.

Description

From Ruckle Campground, run south along the main gravel doubletrack trail through the tent site section. From the end of the campsite, marked with a signpost (and outhouse), continue south on singletrack past the first viewpoint at Grandma's Bay.

Shortly after the bay, the trail turns north and you'll run through the historic buildings of the Heritage Farm. Look for the turkeys! Head down the gravel road a short distance (400 m), before passing a farm stand, then look right for the trailhead (20-30m after).

Follow the trail along the perimeter of the fenced pasture, and up a gentle incline to the end of the farm then turn right to descend toward the ocean. Enjoy!

Complete the run with technical oceanside singletrack and marvelous views of pristine rocky coastline.
