Ninebark Trail

The Ninebark Trail winds through a diverse woodland with frequent white oaks along the landscape. The remnants of a former pine plantation can be found here with a number of towering shortleaf pine trees nearby. At the highest point of the trail, a dolomite glade can be found. Runners will find 'ninebark,' a flowering shrub that grows on dolomite glades throughout the region. These pink-white flowers attract a host of pollinators.
