Runner Notes
This would be a challenging trail run over bare rock.
Description
After following Snowshoe Trail B1 from the chalet, along a ridge by the A2 intersection, down through and up the ravine aided by a rope, the trail arrives at
Gosling View ski trail. At this point there are two options: turn left and follow the edge of the escarpment (B1 Loop) crossing farther along to reach the ridge seen directly ahead or just go for it.
To reach the ridge directly, cross
Gosling View ski trail and climb up and over the ridge watching for bits of flagging tape or previous tracks. The ridge is windswept and doesn't always hold much snow on the bare rock. Be aware that this route is potentially dangerous particularly when there is fresh snow over icy bare rock or when drifting snow has caused overhangs or false edges.
Flora & Fauna
The short trail to the base of the ridge has some young birch and spruce but on the bare rock there is mostly lichen.
