The trail is part of Bays Mountain Park and there is a $5 fee to get into the park. Be sure to check out the Nature Center and Habitats while at the park.

Runner Notes

This is one of my favorite trails at the park because it is one of the less traveled. The terrain is a little rocky, but it's a fun run. The descent at the end is steep and can be slippery, especially in wet conditions or when there are a lot of leaves on the trail.

Description

Bays Ridge Trail is one of 31 trails and roads that make up the Bays Mountain trail system. It's a short singletrack that connects Bays Ridge Road with Front Hollow Road and Pretty Ridge Trail. The trail is rocky and rolls along the ridge until the fairly steep descent to Front Hollow Road. There are some nice views from along the ridge.
