Description

Start at the north end of the parking lot near the picnic tables. Follow Grant Drive until the trail crosses the road and takes you up through Upton's Charge. Continue east to the Bloody Angle and East Angle to experience the intimate scope of the battle. Continue north to one of the 3 homesteads that were utilized and virtually destroyed during the short battle. Then, head south about a half mile to see Lee's final line of defense before abandoning the Spotsylvania Battlefield to get between Union troops and the Confederate capitol.
