The trail gently descends along an abandoned road for 0.3 miles and continues as a steeper singletrack the rest of the way down. Unlike some other waterfalls, you don't get a peek of the falls through the trees as one nears it. Rather as you turn the final switchback, you are confronted with the a wide open view all at once—truly stunning.
The final descent to the water's edge is a bit of a scramble which could be a challenge for small children or the elderly. Those who continue on will find themselves wrapped in a dense green blanket of vegetation. It is wise to rest a while and take in the beauty as the parking lot is at the top of the trail.
