There are facilities at the Burdette trailhead with drink machines and public restrooms.

The USI cross-country trails are easily accessible from the USI-Burdette trails, if you want to get off the asphalt and add some technical trail running to your day.

The trail is asphalt paved so traction is not an issue. The mild challenge lies in the twists, turns, and switchbacks leading up sometimes steep and enduring inclines. Overall, the trail is forgiving and speckled with sitting areas for taking breaks. You'll find yourself moving through open fields, across bridges spanning creeks, and through a diverse array of forest containing varying species of trees and plant life.

You can spot any and all of the wildlife and plant life you would expect to find in Southern Indiana.
