Description

The parking lot for this trail is right next to Route 40. The trailhead starts next to the DEC sign. Follow red round blazes as you make your way uphill. Along the way, you'll run over a couple wooden bridges.

The trail immediately climbs up 100 vertical feet on the stone steps. Then for the next 0.3 miles, the trail heads along nearly flat ground. The trail takes you to the intersection with the old jeep road. At this point you'll see a sign-in box. Turn right here, and continue up the steep trail as it navigates plenty of loose rocks. At 2.12 miles, there is a side trail on the right that leads to the Baldwin Memorial Lean-To.

Continuing upward, the trail eventually reaches the summit, where you'll see signs for another lean-to. From the fire tower up here, you'll experience gorgeous, 360-degree views of the area.
