This is best during the hottest months of the year when it's dry and there's no snow. Any other conditions increase the difficulty greatly.

Description

This is one of the more common ways to reach Lake Ala-Kul. It starts with a long run up a gently sloping valley and then turns to climb a steep valley to nearly 4000m (making it nearly a 2000m climb). This is followed by a descent to a valley at around 2600m and then another climb to just shy of 4000m from where you'll get your first look at Lake-Kul below.
