Description

Sycamore Cove starts and finishes directly on Hwy 276 (there are pull-offs that can accommodate a few cars across the road from both the start and finish).

The trail begins easily with a shallow stream crossing but quickly becomes steep and technical with a lot of roots that will do their best to impede you. Soon after, there's a deeper stream crossing with a makeshift bridge. Continuing on, the trail becomes very steep with more than a couple spots that may require you to stop and catch your breath.

After it intersects with the Black Mountain Connector #127A, it meets up with the Grassy Road Trail #396 and continues climbing for a ways. Finally, the descent begins and the roots are out in full force! After the switchback, with the creek running by it, the trail becomes steeper and rockier. There are a handful of stream crossings and a bridge before reaching the end.
