Description
This trail is the main trail through the Salt Meadow Unit of the Stewart B. McKinney National Wildlife Refuge. There are some green markers, but it is largely unblazed.
It begins and ends at an informational pavilion near the parking area. This area also includes the maintenance area and a handful of historic buildings. Past the pavilion, the trail heads west along a gravel path that descends toward the marsh. Next, it passes the main wildlife viewing platform and turns south along a gravel path. It then passes a blue marker for a cross trail, a new wildlife viewing blind, and a spur trail down to the water. Finally, the trail turns north and returns to the main area.
