Runner Notes

A soft path that provides a great base for a great run.

Description

This trail can be started from several locations, but the best parking options are in the southwest corner on Breckinridge Blvd. The trail immediately crosses a very well constructed bridge, as all in this park are, then turns in either direction into some small meadows dotted with stands of trees.

The main trails alternates between single and doubletrack, but it is fairly easy to follow. The trails are typically in low lying areas near the creek so you are sure to get a little mud on the shoes. The trail presents plenty of options to cut trails or choose your own route.

At the northernmost point, the trail connects with the paved Breckinridge Trail. There are several well built bridges that allow the trails to pass seamlessly over Beck Creek. Overall, this trail is a nice surprise in a huge park that can become crowded on weekends on the eastern sections where the ball fields are located.

Flora & Fauna

A variety of bird and wildlife is present on the trail. Snakes do live here so mind your step, especially when fields are in full bloom.
