Description

This is an easy-going loop around Weber Lake. The trail travels along an old road trace through several groves of trees before reaching the water. Weber Lake was both created and left barren due to bygone mining operations. The formerly "dead lake" was recovered by a joint effort between the DNR and federal government. Today, it's healthy, clean waters support plant and animal life thanks in part to a seasonal wetland.

Flora & Fauna

Look for birds, frogs, or beavers as you circle the lake and run on the levee.
