Runner Notes

There are a few rocks and shelves to navigate and a stream crossing that is wet about 50% of the running season.

Description

This is a little-known trail that climbs moderate grades through a scenic forest.

At the junction of Windy Pass, the trail sends you first through a picture perfect high country meadow, then winds through aspens and ponderosa stands. There is a wet weather stream crossing a couple of miles out.

Cool forest running eventually leads to the descent into the East Fork Valley on an easy bit of side-hill with some loose rocks and gravel. The scenery is worth it!
