Start at the Peavine HIlls Ave. trailhead, multiple different trails start here. Head up into the creek and canyon, labeled "Hobo Trail" on some maps. Kind of steep to start and never really lets up. There is a split about 1 mile in. Left heads up a loose rocky, steep exposed trail, right continues up into the canyon, go right. Sometimes I alternate going up one and coming down the other.
As the trail winds along up next to the creek in the canyon you'll hit a nice wooded area on the right. Trails intersect there, keep left. 1.5 miles in.
2.2 miles in you top out to an open field. Continue to head north and gain Peavine Road. Head left.
2.4 miles take a right up to the lower tower. As it swings left you start seeing very steep, loose, rocky sections. No real alternate trails on this section continue up until you see the towers.
There is an alternate route you can take at 2.4. Instead of heading up on difficult jeep road you can stay on Peavine Peak dirt road and it has a more gentle grade and not as loose/rocky as the jeep road. Not sure of the extra distance but I don't believe it to be much.
Flora & Fauna
Lots of flowers in the spring. Have seen a few coyote's on this trail.
