Description

This trail is popular in the summertime as in the highest parts there is snow until June and from September. The trail is marked. Brief information on the trail information board is available at the starting point.

This route is for two days of hiking. You can start either from Geghard or from Geghashen village. There are several old village ruins on the way and beautiful mountain lakes. The most interesting parts are the old petroglyphs(rock carvings) and dragon stones. The trail passes near-extinct volcanic craters of the Gegham mountain range.
