Description

The Blue Star Trail is a paved multi-use path that will eventually go from Holland to South Haven. Parts of it were built specifically for the trail, but others follow calm (mostly) city streets. Development was stalled in 2020, but organizers hope it will continue in 2021.

This section of the trail starts at 136th and 64th in the Burger King parking lot. It goes gradually downhill, following the Blue Star Highway (BSH) until it turns west at Holland Street. Then it heads east at North Street, back to the BSH. At Old Allegan Road it goes west because the next leg of the proposed trail is still under debate. Then it follows Maple Street to State Street to Lake Street and back to the BSH. From there it crosses the Blue Star Bridge and heads up the hill, ending at Center Street.
