Description

Trailhead is located off Hungry Ridge Road #309A and runs all the way to Sourdough Peak.

Climb just one mile to Camp Creek Road #9325. The trail merges with the road for 0.5 miles before skipping a well-designed switchback in favor of a hard climb. Climb 2.25 miles, crossing Camp Creek Road #9325 on a steady climb to the ridge and the junction of Marble Point Trail #328. This is also a northwest point of the Gospel-Hump Wilderness boundary. The trail and Wilderness Boundary are one and the same for the next four miles down into Gospel Creek.

Also of note, Gospel Creek Trail #305 drops off into the Wilderness at about 2.5 miles east of Marble Point Trail #328 junction.

From the Gospel Creek crossing, you'll immediately cross Johns Creek as well. At this point, the trail leaves the Wilderness Boundary and starts a steep two-mile climb up out of Johns Creek drainage to the junction of Snoose Creek Trail #407.

Next, go four miles heading for a saddle and out around a ridge to the next saddle before climbing to the Peak of Sourdough Peak.
