Description

Park in the lot on 70th Street (Lakeshore Drive) and follow the trail to the overlook or the beach. It's not marked, but there's no trouble following the path. There's a lake overlook with a couple of benches. There's also a beach access but, due of erosion, it's a bit tricky to climb down to the lake.

Flora & Fauna

The North Tract features a variety of habitats, including Lake Michigan beach shoreline, clay bluff seeps, oak-hickory forest, beech-maple-hemlock forest, pine plantation, old field, pond,, and buttonbush swamp. The forests are used by migratory songbirds, raptors, and have some state-listed plants.
