Description

The trail begins at the Riverparks East Bank Trail and runs along the south-east side of the Gathering Place. The trail runs north with three at-grade crossings, including East 21st Street, to South Cincinnati. At this point the trail leaves the rail right-of-way to run east around the south side of the Broken Arrow and Cherokee Expressway interchange, crossing the Broken Arrow Expressway at Peoria. The trail then runs along the east side the Cherokee Expressway with several at-grade crossings to end at East 3rd Street.

Besides the Gathering Place, Maple Park and Centennial Park are connected to the trail.

The Midland Valley Railroad originally ran from Fort Smith AK to Wichita KS and crossed the Arkansas River at about 31st Street. Though not directly connected, the Osage Prairie Trail further north was also built on the abandoned MV route. The two trails are separated by about a mile with complete sidewalks in east Tulsa.
