Need to Know

The gravel road becomes very muddy in spots after it has rained.

Description

Trail is not obvious the entire way to the Vortex. Cairns mark the way haphazardly but are a help guiding you up and around to the back access up to the actual Vortex site. The Vortex is interesting, but the run itself is well worth the trip even if you don't make it to The Vortex. Our last run was after several rainstorms which resulted partially filled The Vortex with water. My wife was glad she had seen it empty. It is much more impressive when you see The Vortex dry.

Looking from The Vortex area down on the trail to The Vortex. If you look closely in the lower right quadrant of the picture, you can see people walking back towards the parking area.
