This Alternate Route bypasses the wet and muddy Miette River Valley by taking a gorgeous high route. It starts on the well maintained Dorothy, Christine and Virl Lakes Trail #60 and then turns off onto Elysium Pass Trail that does not get regular maintenance. From the Elysium Pass meadows to where it rejoins Section F, there is basically no trail but a route to route-find one's way along.
