This is a warm weather run due to the many creek crossings. You'll get wet on many of these crossings.

From the top of Round Knob, the trail descends through the Davis Creek Drainage. At 0.4 miles and again at 0.8 miles, cross the small creek. At 1.0 mile, after crossing the creek, DO NOT continue up the climb as this will only take you back up to Round Knob. Instead, turn left and follow the drainage down. The trail has been washed away at this spot, so continue following the creek/drainage until you see trail again.

From 1.1-1.8 miles, there are eight more creek crossings. At 2.1 miles, the trail splits off to the right at a small sign. At 2.8 miles, the trail merges left onto a rocky doubletrack.
