Need to Know

Take Highway 434 south from Angel Fire for four miles. Turn right on County Road B-29 which becomes Forest Road 76. Almost two miles past the South Boundary Trail #164 trailhead, turn right onto Forest Road 153. The trailhead is 0.4 miles up FR153 on the right.

Description

Rio Chiquito Trail #121 begins near the Jarocita Park open meadow. Some sections follow old logging roads and overlook the Rio Chiquito. It can be tough to follow in a few places, especially where it passes through Borrego Crossing after briefly joining FS Road #438 East. The trail continues west along the valley bottom to the campground at the end of FS Road #437CG.
