“Hike follows logging roads and mountain bike trails through Weyerhaeuser forest.
— Ken Kendall
Need to Know
Weyerhaeuser Recreation Permit (non-motorized) is required.
Hike along Harmony Drive starting from Weyerhaeuser gate. After 0.7 miles, take trail to the left of the road. Trail crosses Harmony Creek on a bridge built by mountain bikers, then continues along an old logging road through a thick forest. At 1.8 miles from the start of the hike, you'll pass an old gravel pit, then continue along the logging road that has been more recently maintained. This road is MC10 (the sign is at the end of the road). After 2.4 miles from the start, MC10 rejoins Harmony Drive. You'll pass a gravel pit that is currently in use 2.7 miles from the start. At 3.5 miles from the start, the road ends at a helicopter pod that has views of the Columbia River. Coming back from the Helicopter pad, at 3.8 miles from the start, take a trail on the right side of the road (as you head down the hill). The trail is well maintained. At 5.0 miles from the start, the trail comes out on an unmarked road above a beaver pond. Follow this road back to Harmony Drive. We took a road to the right at mile 5.7. This road was quite brushy and a bit of a bush-whack. At mile 6.4, the unmaintained road joins MC30 road. At mile 7.5, the MC30 road joins Harmony Drive. At mile 8.0, take unmarked road to the left. At mile 10.1, take trail to the left of the road, which takes you back to Harmony Drive close to the gate.
