Need to Know
There is a fee for parking, which is waived if you're a Trustees member.
On a summer day, it can get pretty hot for the last 3 miles, where you lose the tree cover.
This trail is actually a jeep road following the river the whole way, offering some amazing views. It's very enjoyable, and the biggest obstacle you're likely to see are puddles. A lot of people do it as an out-and-back for roughly 15 miles. It's well-marked and easy to follow. As a bonus, stop for a dip anywhere in the river when you get hot.
Flora & Fauna
Turtles and birds. Watch out for poison ivy on the edges of the trail in the last half.
