“A trail with amazing view of Three Sisters, Jefferson, Washington, and Hood.”— Steve Jackson
The trail starts uphill and generally follows a creek that you'll cross twice. It is the outflow of an unnamed lake you'll eventually run next to. In late July this year we still had to cross patches of snow and cross the creek. Wildflowers were in spectacular bloom where the snow had previously been. We saw bright red paintbrush, aster, seep monkeyflower, and other types of wildflowers.
You'll continue up until you come to an unnamed lake. This green lake in the crater still had ice on it. Continue around the lake on the trail and up to a ridge and viewpoint. This view is amazing, and you are able to see Three Sisters, Washington, Jefferson and Hood.
It's best to do this very early in the days since it gets crowded and busy starting late morning through afternoon.
