Description
This is a closed-to-traffic forest road (more of a gravel doubletrack at times) that winds its way from one side of Janus Creek to the other. Due to a recent (early 2018) prescribed burn, the canopy is quite open and you can enjoy some long range views. It will be beautiful in leaf season in late fall.
The road also passes by a number of wildlife openings, so you might expect to see turkeys, deer, bears, and hunters in season (wear orange as this is part of a popular Wildlife Management Area).
This trail is better done counterclockwise so you're descending on the steepest part of the trail at the southern end.
