Overview
The trail provides a great variety of singletrack, mountain meadows, pine forests, and sweeping views.
Runner Notes
Make sure to have plenty of water for the last four miles; this section is very exposed as you run through the Nordic Center grass fields.
Description
Don't be fooled by the distance, this is a challenging course. From the start, you begin a long climb to the top of Scout Mountain; the trail is combination of single and doubletrack that winds through pine trees and open meadows.
Once reaching the summit, it is short, steep descent to a beautiful section of downhill singletrack. After making your way back down, the trail turns uphill through an exposed section before climbing through the Nordic Center and grass fields until connecting to the trail that you started on.
