Description

This winter-only trail is no longer maintained, but still appears on the SOSSC map. This trail provides that wilderness experience without actually being in wilderness.

The trail starts off Junction M and follows a logging road. There are many different logging roads through here—make sure to stay on the right one. The trail descends to a flat area, then begins to climb again. As the trail leaves the open area and re-enters the woods, continue straight.

Here, you'll need to follow the pink flagging carefully. The trail takes a sudden right turn into a hemlock grove and pushes through a brushy section. This trail ends at the Bald Ledge Trail (Purity Spring). Snowmobiles are not permitted on the trail past this point. Turn left for King Pines or Purity Spring Resort. Follow the orange blazes right to go to Bald Ledge.
