“A weaving, soft trail through the forest with access to the beautiful Canopy Walkway!”

The Nature Trail is a great, weaving trail through the forest which accesses Myakka's famous Canopy Walkway
and tower above the trees. The trail is a loop so it can be taken in either direction. There are a variety of interpretive signs throughout to introduce you to the flora and fauna of the area. There are two small bridges that you'll cross over and multiple mini-spur trails to view small ponds where wading birds, including roseate spoonbills, may be feeding. Using the Canopy Walkway
can allow you to run figure-eights of the trail or even just use this as a warm-up for any of the much longer trails in this beauty-filled state park.
