Sage Hills is closed from December 1 to April 1 annually for mule deer protection.

Description

This is a hardpacked singletrack trail. It is a manageable climb to connect to the rest of the trail system or a tame downhill if you are headed towards town. It makes a decent loop to climb up The Gut and run down Coyote Canyon. It is easy to navigate through this trail system, although most trails are not labeled. The trail is typically very dry in the summer and narrow at points where the tall grass is creeping onto the trail.

Flora & Fauna

Keep an eye out for rattlesnakes in the summer.
