Trailrunners should avoid this trail during "Tourist Season"... unless you prefer dodging obstacles.
This trail is a combination of the surrounding trails; the part of the trail on the western shore is the only portion of this trail that doesn't share any other trails. Starting on the ALLT - Lonesome Lake Trail
, the trail follows the Northeastern shore through a boggy area. At the next junction, Lonesome Lake Trail
exits to the right and ALLT turns left to follow the western shore. This area is primarily composed of bog bridges. At the next junction, the Fishin' Jimmy Trail
- AT is on the right and ALLT continues left around the south shore. The south shore provides excellent views of Cannon Mountain. The ALLT follows the Fishin' Jimmy Trail
- AT left to it's junction wtih the Cascade Brook Trail
. Cascade Brook Trail
- AT turns right, while ALLT follows the remainder of Cascade Brook Trail
left. The loop ends back at the start with Lonesome Lake Trail
. For more information, see AMC's White Mountain Guide.
