“Nice singletrack meandering along the bank of Alum Creek Lake.”
— Chris Davis
Features: Fall Colors — Lake — River/Creek — Spring
Trail gets exceptionally slick during or days after a rain.
After leaving the paved surface, you are given the impression that this is going to be another stroll in the park, but quickly the trail moves into the covered forest surface and mud appears (well if there has been any recent rain!).
The trail is marked, but pay attention to side trails as there are enough user trails leading to the neighborhood to the west that you can easily get thrown off. The views of the lake and the deep woods are the the crowns in this jewel. During the fall the foliage is stunning and the lake is always drawing waterbirds.
