Need to Know
They don’t close the main gate but, they close the visitors center gate at 5:00pm.
Anyone is open to the trail including bicyclists.
Great views of the Neuse River with lots of tree information signs all around and lot of benches to sit on. The Park has a cool historical town you can walk through before 5:00 pm and a visitors center with artifacts about the local area from the civil war. There are restrooms at the visitor center and next too the back parking lot near the blue, yellow, and Orange trails. There is also a graveyard next to the start of the Blue/Yellow/Orange trail. The trails are a loop, blue trail is 0.6 miles, the Yellow trail is 1 mile, and the Orange trail is 1.2 miles long.
