Need to Know
Runners will have several fully stocked aid stations along the course.
The elevation gain is just over 3,600 feet. For specific information on aid stations and cut off times check the race website.
With the race being held in December, runners should be prepared for cold weather. Review all information on the race website concerning course conditions and requirements.
Runners will begin at Covenant College in North Georgia. There will be a small amount of road running from the start to help separate the runners. From there, runners will be heading out on a series of great singletrack trails for most of the race and then a few miles of road running to the finish. Runners will view Lula Lake Falls within the first 10 miles. At the south end of the course, participants will be treated to beautiful long range views of Cloudland Canyon.
Flora & Fauna
Hardwood trees abound along the route. As this race is in December most of the trees will be void of leaves. Also common to the area are black bear, red-tailed hawks, screech owls, chipmunks, and flying squirrels.
