Description
The 60-something proprietress of the little bed and breakfast that we were staying at recommended this, but I don't think most people would consider this easy!
The climb from Davos to the Berggasthaus Dürrboden (Mountain Guest Hotel Dürrboden) is fairly gentle but very long and it starts a mile in the air.
This trail is mostly on doubletrack through farm fields paralleling the Dischma Creek. To make this into a loop, climb the road on the Dischmastrasse, which parallels the trail and take the trail back from the terminus once you reach the Berggasthaus Dürrboden. Or you can take the Postbus to the Berggasthaus Dürrboden to save all the climbing. All of the Postbusses go everywhere!
Or if you've really adventurous, you can continue on the 42-mile route #339 Scalettapass/Keschhütte all the way to Filisur though some very remote country around the Hoch Ducan (3063 m; 10050 ft).
