Description

This old road is hard to find as it appears out of nowhere if you don't know where to look. When you are at Aspen Ranch parking area, which is the midway point between Upper Rio En Medio #163 and Lower Rio en Medio #163, you'll need to seek out an old barbwire gate at the southwest end of the parking area. Go through the gate and walk up the hill through the scrubrush a bit. To the northwest, you'll see the remnants of an old road emerge.

As a stand alone run, this road is particularly noteworthy though it does travel through a beautiful aspen forest. It's most often taken to access the Mineral Trail, which connects to the Pacheco Canyon Road #102 to the south.
