The trail starts at the intersection with Gabrielino Trail (NRT)
and heads west following Winter Creek upstream. The trail is well shaded with oak, alder, willow, and bay trees and passes several early 20th century cabins. The trail ends after 1.5 miles at the intersection with Zion Trail
heading off to the northeast.
