This beginner trail, opened in 2015, is part of a bigger project that will eventually have about 11 miles of trails. Phase one was this family-friendly beginner trail. It features a four-foot wide dirt path, built with IMBA expertise for biking but is opened to foot traffic.

When complete, the project will link separate trails together by bridges. Beaver Tail Flats has a wide, dirt trail surface through hardwood and pine forest, encircling open fields and the dirt pump track.
