This trail is commonly chosen as part of a loop to Mt. Baldy. It aggressively descends from the summit on the southwest side of the mountain and offers rewarding views. Halfway through, the trail passes Sierra Club Ski Hut which is a good resting point with a seasonal spring next to it. The part between the ski hut and the summit is the hardest and steepest but also offers beautiful views throughout. There are numerous smaller side trails, but they ultimately all lead the right way. If you take this trail up to Mt. Baldy, be prepared for some arduous running and climbing.
